Note: Requests for diplomatic positions will be analyzed through the Candidate’s Curriculum Vitae and international and commercial contacts. Diplomatic rank is granted by the Office of the Secretary General.
Available positions:
Diplomatic Courier
A diplomatic courier is a person entrusted with the transportation of official documents. UUN diplomatic couriers do not enjoy immunity from inspection or seizure. However, they do ensure the security and confidentiality of diplomatic communications.
Secretarial contribution: 400 + expenses
Counselor
A senior diplomat who provides strategic advice to higher-ranking diplomats. May specialize in areas such as foreign policy, economics, security, trade, or cultural affairs.
Secretarial contribution: 500 + expenses
Minister-Counselor
Senior UUN official, subordinate to Ambassadors at Large and Plenipotentiary Ministers. Oversees day-to-day diplomatic operations, provides strategic advice and manages relations with one or more countries or organizations.
Secretarial contribution: 700 + expenses
Special Envoy
A diplomat appointed for specific high-level missions, such as peace negotiations, humanitarian crises or trade relations. Often acts as the personal representative of the Secretary-General.
Secretarial contribution: 800 + expenses
Business Manager
It deals with bilateral relations, trade treaties, trade development and protects the interests of the UUN.
Secretarial contribution: 1,000 + expenses
Permanent Representative
Ambassador accredited to an international organization. Participates in diplomatic meetings, negotiates resolutions and represents the UUN position.
Secretarial contribution: 1,000 + expenses
Minister Plenipotentiary
High-level diplomat with full powers to negotiate and sign agreements on behalf of the UUN.
Secretarial contribution: 1,500 + expenses
High Commissioner
The equivalent of an ambassador in charge of missions in Commonwealth countries. Oversees bilateral relations and promotes economic cooperation.
Secretarial contribution: 2,000 + expenses
Ambassador at Large
An ambassador without a fixed post, assigned to specific missions on a global scale. They may deal with human rights, terrorism, international trade or other strategic issues, representing the UUN in multiple countries or organizations.
